Auto Merge
Auto Merge merges the new duplicates a Duplicate Search finds, on the schedule you set. It uses that search's match options and Merge Rules, skips anything your Safety Settings set aside, and keeps up with the duplicates you know will keep coming back.

How Auto Merge works
-
Pick a Duplicate Search
Choose a search whose matches you always merge the same way, like exact email matches.
-
Set the schedule
Choose how often it runs and between which hours.
-
Let it run
Auto Merge merges in the background, and every merge is logged in Merge History.
Merge on your schedule
Choose how often Auto Merge runs, then narrow it to the days and hours that suit your team.
| How often | What it means |
|---|---|
| As soon as possible | Runs again as soon as the last run finishes |
| Every X minutes, hours, days, weeks or months | You set the number |
| On specific weekdays | For example, Mondays and Thursdays |
| On specific days of the month | For example, the 1st and the 15th |
Between the hours: pick a window, for example every week on Monday, between 8 and 9 AM, so merges happen before your team starts work.
Exact run times can vary slightly based on your data load.
Good to know
- It follows your settings. Auto Merge uses the search's match options, Merge Rules and schedule.
- It never merges what needs your input. Excluded Matches and anything set to "Always ask" are skipped.
- It works in the free trial. Auto Merge uses your 20 free merges and stops when they run out.
- Every merge is logged in Merge History, with the original values.
- Treat merges as permanent. Run a search and check its matches before you schedule it.
Yay! Your CRM now dedupes itself.
You've found, reviewed and merged your duplicates, and Auto Merge keeps the new ones out.
