Connect a CRM, find duplicates and merge them safely. Every guide, in one place.

Changelog

What changed in Dedupely, newest first. Each article lists its own changes at the end.

  1. Import users from your CRM

On the Users tab, pick active users from a connected CRM, choose a role and invite them in one step. Paid plans only, up to 500 at a time and never more than your free seats. A member imported this way is deactivated when their CRM user is.

  2. Best presets, suggestions and a live preview in Merge Rules

Best email, Best phone and Best name rank every value and keep the strongest. Primary or best keeps the Primary's value unless it is unusable. Suggestions built from your field settings can be applied or dismissed, and a live preview shows what a merge keeps.

  3. New Merge Rules conditions for email, phone and company name

Conditions can test whether an email is role-based or from a free email provider, whether a phone number is toll-free, a placeholder or has a country code, and whether a company name is the full legal name or the brand name only.

  4. Filter suggestions

Advanced Filters point out conditions that can never match, such as a field that must be both blank and not blank, with an orange count on Filters. A suggestion stays until you dismiss it.

  5. Manual Review and Reject on Dedupely Intelligence need a yearly plan

On Dedupely Intelligence matches, Send to Manual Review and Reject need a yearly plan, as merging and export already do.

  6. Merge choice for parent and child companies in HubSpot

Merging a HubSpot company with its own parent or child asks first, and can remove the parent-child link so the merge goes through. Always ask is the default. Set your answer in Safety Settings.

  7. Turn off Salesforce sync protection

If the HubSpot-Salesforce Integration was uninstalled but left its properties behind in HubSpot, you can switch Salesforce sync protection off for that portal.

  8. The Duplicate Report only reports duplicates

The Duplicate Report email leads with what Dedupely found and shows each CRM's counts, including zeros. Each subject ends with its send date, so one report never threads under the last.

  9. Merge choices before a risky merge

Dedupely predicts four CRM refusals before a merge: HubSpot association and merge-count limits, Salesforce records that point at each other, and retired Salesforce picklist values. Answer Always ask, the fix, or Skip in Safety Settings. A skipped match moves to Attention Required.

  10. Dedupely Intelligence for every account

Dedupely Intelligence searches appear in the Duplicate Searches drawer and on the Overview for every account, with nothing to configure. Merge, custom merge and export on its matches need a yearly plan, apart from your free merges.

Show all changes
  1. Every field in filters, match settings and custom merge

Filters, Match Settings and custom merge offer every field of the record type, ordered by relevance rather than alphabetically.

  2. Merge never acts on a whole list

Selecting every match across pages no longer merges them. That selection still works for Reject, Send to Manual Review and Remove from Manual Review.

  3. Conditions can require all of their values

A filter or Merge Rules condition with several values can require all of them instead of any one. Existing conditions keep matching any.

  4. Close merges stay within a lead

Merging Close contacts on two different leads is refused before anything changes: merge the leads first. New Close connections get default Duplicate Searches that require the same lead.

  5. Google Contacts is available

Every account can connect Google Contacts. Changes arrive on Dedupely's regular resync, a merge copies fields to the Primary then deletes the duplicate, and sorting by oldest or newest record is not offered.

  6. Nimble syncs People and Companies separately

Nimble People and Companies are separate record types again, each with its own default Duplicate Searches, so two colleagues at one employer are not reported as duplicate companies.

  7. Close is available

Every account can connect Close and find and merge duplicate leads, contacts and opportunities.

  8. Nimble is available

Every account can connect Nimble and find and merge duplicate contacts.

  9. Planhat is no longer supported

Dedupely no longer connects to Planhat. Planhat connections were removed along with their synced records, matches and Merge History.

  10. Search the audit log

Filter the audit log by user and search across its entries.

  11. Email verification no longer blocks a new account

A new account works straight away while the email is verified in the background. Sign up asks for one name field.

  12. Pair HubSpot with Salesforce before merging synced records

Pair a HubSpot portal with its Salesforce org. Dedupely warns before a merge that would break the HubSpot-Salesforce Integration, a Safety Setting can exclude those matches, and Merge Preview keeps the synced Account as the Primary.

  13. Merge a synced HubSpot and Salesforce pair in both CRMs

When records synced by the HubSpot-Salesforce Integration are duplicates, Dedupely merges them in HubSpot and Salesforce at once, so the pair stays linked. Both CRMs need to be connected.

  14. Dedupely in seven languages

The app and its emails come in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Swedish. Each user picks a language from the sidebar or the Language tab in My Account.

  15. Rename, clone or delete a Duplicate Search from its menu

Each Duplicate Search has a menu to edit its name in place, clone it or delete it.

  16. Blank conditions on matched fields

Filters no longer accept is blank or is not blank on a field the search matches on, because those conditions can never find a duplicate.

  17. One settings area

My Account and Company Settings share one settings area with a sidebar, account sections and company sections side by side. General is now Login Info.

  18. Dedupely respects CRM API limits

Dedupely reads each CRM's rate limits and slows down near them. If a limit runs out, that connection pauses with a warning icon and an alert, and merges caught by it are canceled rather than failed.

  19. Auto Match, on every plan

Auto Match scans a Duplicate Search for new duplicates on its own and emails a report when it finds some. Turn it on per search, and each user can turn the emails off. Trials and free accounts can run it too.

  20. Excluded tab and Safety Settings

Matches excluded by Safety Settings move to their own Excluded tab instead of returning to Matches. Set the rules per record type.

  21. Manual Review covers the whole record type

A match sent to Manual Review leaves the Matches list, and the Manual Review tab shows every match in review for that record type, across all its Duplicate Searches.

  22. New Duplicate Searches start with fields

A new Duplicate Search opens with visible fields chosen for its CRM, such as first name, last name, email and phone, instead of an empty table.

  23. Assigning users to a Duplicate Search is removed

Duplicate Searches no longer have assigned users.

  24. CSV upload rebuilt

CSV upload has a new flow and processes files faster. A file is searchable for matches as soon as it is imported, and matches exports carry each record's ID.

  25. Password expiry

When your company sets a password expiry, users whose password is older than it are sent to reset it.

  26. Rejected Matches

Reject a match to keep it out of your results. Rejected Matches lists everything you rejected and lets you restore a match.

  27. Exports arrive by email

Matches and merges exports are sent to your email when they are ready.
