Excel and Google Sheets delete exact duplicate rows for free. They don't combine data from duplicate rows, and they don't catch typos unless you build that yourself in Excel's Power Query. Why do built-in duplicate rules miss duplicates?
They check a few fields for the same value. "Acme Inc" and "Acme, Inc.", a phone with and without a country code, or "Sean" and "Shawn" get through. Dedupely matches each field its own way, so these variations still match.
Does Dedupely replace my CRM's duplicate tool?
It takes it further: more ways to match, bulk merges, automations and your rules for what each merge keeps. You can keep your CRM's entry checks on to stop some duplicates as they're created.
Does connecting Dedupely change my CRM data?
No. Connecting and syncing never merge, edit or delete anything. Merges happen only when you run them.
Can I undo a merge?
Yes, within 30 days for most merges, from Merge History. Undo is for records that weren't duplicates, so treat every merge as permanent. For older merges, download Merge History as a CSV and restore the data in your CRM.
