### Contacts Close merges

Close groups rows into leads by company. Inside a lead two contacts with one email become one. Their names can differ.
**This checker shows each merge and each row Close fails before the import.**

### Start from the columns Close maps

A phone without a country code takes your default one. Two emails in a cell need a semicolon. A date like 04/08/2024 reads two ways.
**The Close template uses the column names from its own sample file.**

### Questions about Close imports

How big can a Close import be?
Close takes CSV or Excel files up to 15 MB.
How does Close group rows into leads?
Turn on Group Related Rows and pick a column such as the company name. Rows with the same value become one lead with several contacts.
How do I import several emails or phones for one contact?
Put them in one cell separated by a semicolon.
What format should phone numbers have?
A plus sign and the country code, such as +18334625673. Without it Close uses the default country in your settings.
Why did my lead status fail?
The status must already exist in Close and match it letter for letter.
